There's been a string of high profile signings over the last 5 years of league superstars shifting to union- is it all a waste ofr time and has anyone actually sustained a career in union?

  1. It's a far more complicated game than League, which is more basic with higher impact plays, leagues more primal and one on one. Matty Rogers would be the best, Tamana should have stayed at Parra !

  2. No, I don`t think so ,   Mat Rogers, Wendal Sailor, Ryan Cross, Andrew Walker, hardly set the world on fire,Berrick Barnes, goes ,average ,but, the biggest and most expensive failure is Lote Tuqiri.

The ARU upset some of their top  players, and spent  a heap of money, with their obsession in keeping him in Rugby , even when his heart ,clearly wasn`t in it .

Poor old Lote, he hasn`t performed for three years. It`ll be interesting to see how Tamana Tahu shapes up.....To me ,The most outstanding back in Aussie Rugby is Mark Gerrard and he seems to live in the shadow ,of some of the failed imports.

  3. Every 1 that gos from league 2 union just about plays for aust so i dont now wat ur quest is sposed 2 mean.

Any 1 of them that converts would have now toruble with the physical or fitness side of things. Im a big fan of Matt Gihto his a awswom player.

  4. Great question. In my (humble) opinion, only backs could possible make it in League. The rest of the field would be hard pressed to make both the mental and physical transition

  5. Matt Rogers? He did alright.

  6. yes
