im looking at a coat for winter. i dont want a thick coat cause my body is still more in line with northern temperatures (in the uk, i moved south last summer)

ive seen a gorgeous sateen coat. but if its gonna be raining, and lets face it it WILL be raining, i dont want to ruin a £45 coat.

the care instructions say dry clean only. but all my winer coats that are wool and parka coats say that too, and theyve all been soaked a million times lol.

so can sateen be worn in the bad weather?

  1. I have a sateen dress that goes horrid in the rain. the rain drops really darken the sateen and they still appear to leave a mark even when dry so you end up kind of speckled / spotty. i would steer clear!
