Hi I just got a Savannah monitor and was wondering what other things they can eat besides mice, and bugs. I wanted to know if they can eat chicken liver and gizzard. If so do I have to cook it?

  1. Yes they can but its not real good for them. Stick to crickets, roaches, and mice and maby some baby chicks. They also have canned monitor food that Is not good for monitors and SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A REGULAR MEAL. NO DOG/CAT FOOD EITHER ALTHOUGH I'M SURE SOMEONE WILL MENTION IT. Dont feed it anything besides the mice and insects if you want a healthy monitor. DO it and you will have a overweight unhealty monitor

  2. he CAN eat alot of things , he SHOULD be offerd only insects and rodents to eat. just cause it will eat something doesnt mean it should, monitors eat WHOLE PREY ANIMALS, not just parts.

p.s. gota love the "thumbs down's" for giving the correct answer. people must not like the truth.
