Can scorpions survive in water?

In zodiac, scorpio is a water sign along with pisces and cancer but scorpio which symbolizes a scorpion, ive never heard of a water scorpion. Plz help with this curiosity.

The "water scorpion" is actually an insect who's front set of legs actually look almost like a scorpion's pincers.

But asking if a scorpion lives in water is like asking if a lion can live in fire, or if an animal that if half goat-half fish actually exists.

The zodiac is anthropomorphised. Simply put it gives human characteristic to symbols. The elements are basic traits: fire for action, air for thought, earth for stability, and water for emotions.

and in a astrolgic term..scorpio, and water signs, but can also live among the surface, once they feel comfortable with it.
