Can skipping lunch cause headaches?

I've been having these really bad headaches. Usually towards mid-afternoon they start. In the morning I have coffee, eat a couple donuts when I get to work and then I usually dont eat again until dinner (about 7 pm).

Could this be causing my headaches?

  2. Your eating habits are horrible ... I would suspect that you may be feeling weak by mid-day. They are very likely the cause of your headaches.  Try eating something with some protein for breakfast so that the calories will last.  I would think it would also be good to at least snack on something while you are at work.  Your metabolism has probably shut down because you dont eat that much during the day.

  3. Yes in my experience skipping meals can cause headaches. I find that if I run out really quick without time to eat lunch then I do get a headache, however if I grab something to eat then I don't have that problem. Its always a good idea to try and eat 3 meals if you can, or maybe do mini meals :]

  4. Yes, people can get hunger headaches. You could also be coming down from your sugar high from the doughnuts too.

Basically, you're a double threat to your body: you're fasting all day long and you're eating a high caffeine, high sugar breakfast.

You need to be eating healthy meals throughout the day.

  5. YES! EAT
