  1. I don't think so. But if you need it on a plane you cant... If you think about it that way you mkight it depends if you can take not being able to have one then i'm sure it wont affect you.

  2. not tobacco........weed yes.............drug tests all the time..............

  3. well you can't smoke on a plane so it would be hard to break that habit and not smoke on a plane.

  4. Nop... a pilot is the same thing as a driver but more complicated. Unless you drink and fly, you might get your *** fired hehehe

BTW DONT SMOKE INSIDE THE AIRPLANE!! DO IT BEFORE YOUR ON THE JOB!

  5. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this before, but smoking is allowed in the cockpit of commercial aircraft.  They obviously don't want a pilot having a nicotine fit while flying!

  6. I don't see how, and quite frankly I wouldn't let any of them know!

  7. Not at all. You can still become as good a pilot as any other non-smoker.

  8. I would STOP smoking! Don't you know how bad that is for you! I'm not sure if it will stop you from being a pilot but it should! You really need to quit that habbit. Unless you want to die sooner.

  9. Well, you could work on trying to quit before you become a pilot. I'm not trying to tell you what to do but obviously its a lot healthier for you.

I wouldnt think it would prevent you becoming a pilot, it's obvious that you cant smoke on a plane. And usually flights dont last longer than 2-5 hours so I mean as soon as you get off of that plane smoke as many cigarettes as you can before you get back on that plane.

  10. No it can't. They can't prevent you from flying because you smoke. That's called discrimination.

  11. no just dont do weed then u will be all set

  12. No alot of airline pilots smoke. You will just have to wait until your outside or in a smoking lounge at the airport. Just don't smoke pot or yes it will prevent you from becoming a pilot!!

  13. No. I doubt very very much it will have any effect. Infact, it may to a very minor extent improve your chances. If just two cigarettes a day can help you to stay calm and relaxed, then thats assential because all pilots have to be at all times.

Then again, you'd have to prove to them it's just two and that your not a heavy smoker because that would certianly affect your chances.

  14. There have been many bans on smoking recently, especially where airports are concerned. Some major airports are even doing away with their smoking sections for travelers, as I discovered first hand this past Thanksgiving while traveling 15 hours before I could light up again. The MAJOR airport where I live (also where my brother is employed) does not even have a smoking section for their employee's. In fact, like random drug tests, the employees there get screened for nicotine usage. If they test positive for Nicotine, they are terminated. Legally, the airport is allowed to do this because all the employees were asked to read and sign the document explaining the nicotine ban and usage, along with their rights. If you only smoke 2 a day now, why not quit?

  15. No it won't.

But for your own personal health, as you must already know, smoking is not good for you.

  16. I doubt it but you're better off not smoking.  They'd prefer you to not smoke.

2 cigs a day, you might as well just quit smoking.  Whats the worst that could happen?

  17. probably because the passengers do not want smoke for a long flight. try quitting or cutting back slowly as you et your permit. by the end, you should no longer smoke! a motivation could be that smoking ends your life quicker and that it causes respiration difficulties which is bad for flying in hight altitudes with limited oxygen.

  18. Only if it hinders your results in frfequent medical checks

  19. More than likely, no...unless the smoking leads to cardivascular issues that might prevent you from obtaining a First-Class Medical certificate.

However, I believe Alaska Airlines will not hire smokers...and they do a hair follicle test before hiring...and some airlines could follow suit.  It is best to quit while your habit is still small...or you will wind up like many pilots that need a smoke between each flight to handle the stress.

  20. I doubt it.

  21. no.

as long as it's not weed your good
