Can snails or slugs die in salt water?

can` slugs or possibly even snails die in salt water?

don't ask me why i posted this question because i'm just curious, because to me, it's just a plain mystery

Yes, they can die in salt water. If you pour salt on them, it kills them too. Kind of like Easy Off Bam on a stain...it dissolves. (Sorry for the comparison, thought maybe it fit)

oh yes. they dissolve if you pour neat salt on them too. little beggars! i go out and get them at night with a torch.

Yes, they can. Salt is a powerful dessicant, and snails/slugs need their mucous to survive.
