Found a snail this morning on the garden path, the sun was very hot, so I put him under a bush. Did I move him unnecessarily?

  1. We shall never know, how did he react to the whole snail moving incident? Did he look petulant? Tip top.

  2. I think you were right moving the snail to the shadow. Snails like and need a lot of water, don't they? You must have caught it before the rain or before watering your garden. The snail's "body" would have lost all water too quickly if the snail had  not been moved to the shadow. I think you managed to save one little life :) It's so nice you have good heart even for the smallest beings :)

  3. That was nice of you.

I think you did the right thing

Their slime may act like a magnifying glass with the sun and burn the poor thing.

    :)
