Can snowmobilers ride through directly on roads?

I live in a small town in Wisconsin and the snowmobilers will come out late at night and go up and down the streets and even through our yard at times. Is this illegal? Who do I contact to complain?

Most towns and cities have by-laws regarding the operation of snowmobiles... being illegal on the streets/sidewalks/other person's private property.  Check with your local government by-law office.  Complain to your local by-law officer.
