I was wondering if its at all possible that my soft contact lenses dissolved in its solution because they were meant for me to wear for 2 weeks and when I go to wear them about 1 or 2 months later they weren't there; just the solution was... ???

  1. yes they can dissolve.  Again, referencing the 'saline-erosion' theory.  And contacts are usually packaged many months before you use them.  It's usually the wear and tear of putting them in and removing them that causes small hairline tears on the edges, where it bends, that, eventually, causes them to, seemingly, self-destruct.  Generic contact lenses aren't 'shaped', so there should be little fear of them losing said assumed shape.

  2.  Over the years I have had contacts mysteriously vanish while in the case overnight. I could think of no reason why, I wasn't drunk, medicated in any way or anything... they were just gone the next day.
