  2. crosstown rivals an are very fierce to show which of the sides is better (supposedly), the bestones are definatley the "derby" (west coast vs fremantle) and showdown (adelaide vs port)

  4. i think it means the two teams that have bad history. i think essendon and carlton are rivals because they are the only two teams on this side of melb. collingwood and richmond because they train within 200m of each other. i always thought Carlton and Collingwood were rivals but maybe i thought wrong.
