  1. yes crows and rooks are both similar size and both do not like magpies as magpies seem to annoy most birds.ive seen a rooks nest being protected by the two parent rooks and they were defending it from a magpie who kept trying to get to the nest as magpies do eat eggs of other birds

If by that you mean has a rook ever been Cross bred with a magpie then the answer is yes.  Several breeders in the UK, keep and hybridise a selection of both Native species as well as exotics and a common hybrid, or Mule as they are known is the cross breeding of a canary and bullfinch, or siskin.

    As regards to the corvid family, several people keep them, and I myself keep a British Jay.  The rook and magpie hybrid is similar in size to the rook, and has an all black body with a barred black and white tail and wings

  3. Yes. I knew a rook that was beaten to a pigeon's egg by a magpie and it was very cross. Furious, in fact.
