  1. How old are you? USTA... United States tennis association

For tournaments... It goes by levels. Level 5 (Novice/Futures) is the lowest level. Goes all the way up (Level 4 or Open, Level 3, Level 2) and then Level 1 is the highest level. Depends what state you live in but there usually aren't many level 1 tournaments a year. The higher the level you play in, the more points you get for winning. You also get more points if you beat a player that has a higher rank then you or especially if you beat a seed in a tournament. Unfortunately if you lose, you don't get any points. The more points you have, the higher of a ranking you get in your state/(your region; i.e. south)

You can join leagues pretty easily, first you need to find a league and get the league #, which then you will go on USTA or your state tennis site and sign up. If I knew your age and where you live, I could give you a lot more info. Send me an email and I can give you lots of links and lots more info.

Before you can play in any tournaments or in any leagues you need to get a USTA number.

Here is a link to sign up for a membership...

    http://www.usta.com/membership/default.s...

If you have any more questions, just go on my profile and send me an email. I play in tournaments all the time so I can give you so much more info! And I often travel to a lot of tournaments, so if you live somewhere close to me (in a state by me ), I can let you know of some good tournaments to play in!

Hope this helps a little bit, and you can send me an email at any time if you want any more info!
