I have to teach some 40 girls how to identify constellations. What important constellations should I teach them? Is there any ideas of activities I can do so it will be fun? Please help!!!

Good idea about starting with the Zodiac constellations.  See if there is a planetarium nearby.

why don't you start with the astrological constellations. You can start the topic by asking if anyone knows what astrological signs are. than you can go into how they are depicted in the stars. Once you have the attention of the kids you can go into how Greeks named many of the constellations and what they represented. You can research the myths and use them to make the constellations more interesting.
