  1. I think chemical engineer would be the best choice. The future is all about recycling and using what no one wants (garbage, etc) to make money. The future is green, and so are the wallets of chemical engineers. Other majors include biomedical, industrial, mechanical, biotechnology, nuclear, computer, etc. I am an electrical engineer right now, but have lots of friends at chemical engineering and they have some cool recycling projects going on.

  2. You may want to consider seeing a guidance counselor.  There are several apptitude tests availiable out there to determine the job you are best suited for.  They take into account your current knowledge and interests.  One thing to remember is that you should choose something that will hold your interest.  Also look at how the different specialties in engineering relate together.  A petroleum engineer is a chemical engineer who specializes in petroleum.  A mechanical engineer may need to know something about electrical engineering or petroleum engineering to design a piece of machinery.  Other engineers do operations, maintenance and troubleshooting.  Its a very broad occupation.  Don't be hasty in deciding.

  3. Try out:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fields_of_e...

To see a list of engineering fields. You can click on the ones you find interesting to learn more about them.

The one's you've listed are fairly unrelated, so I can't help you very much, other than to tell you what each one does. But you can just look that up on wikipedia.

What I will mention, is that you should probably avoid being a petroleum engineer, since the world will be just about out of oil in 40 years and you'd have nothing to do!

  4. You should research each one on the web and see which one interests you the most.

Other engineering majors are aeronautical, civil, industrial, mechanical.

You can learn alot from the occupational outlook handbook for these careers.

  5. Consider becoming a Survival Engineer.

The world is facing some ominous problems which threaten the vast majority of the world's population.  Global warming, climate change, the end of cheap oil, overfished oceans, threatened crops, high unemployment, and the risk of a catastrophic world war - all imperil the survivability of people in the "civilized" world.  If you can figure out how to help these people live using vastly fewer resources, they may reward you quite generously.  If nothing else, you can help secure the survival of your family and friends.
