well the stuff used has to come from some where.. and dumping it into the ocean destorys naturally habitat there...

destroys natural flow of water..

its about time we controlled population growth rather than adding more places for more people

The islands are a danger to shipping while being built.    There are many barges and dredges going back and forth.    Most of the material used to build the islands (Palm and World) is dredged from the surrounding waters, so once built, there is less chance of running aground on shoal waters nearby.
