  1. Different towns in Ireland would have different post codes - the same as we do in England.

  2. Depends where you're posting to.  Might as well ask what the postal code for Wales is!

  3. I don't think Ireland has postcodes does it?? There was someone on here the other day from Ireland who was having trouble registering with ebay because they don't have a postcode.

  4. We don't actually have any. If you are trying to open a new

e-mail account or something like that just put down you live in England and use one of their postal codes.

  5. Dublin's the only place with a post code. It's D. The rest of Ireland has no post code only Co whatever

  6. Only Dublin (1 – 24) has postal codes in the Republic of Ireland.

  7. Ireland has two countries in it. The northern-most country, Northern Ireland, uses the UK postcode system. All postcodes for addresses in Northern Ireland start with the letters 'BT' and are usually of the form BTnn naa where 'n' represents a numerical digit and 'a' represents a letter, usually written in upper-case.

The Republic of Ireland does not have a postcode system other than for districts of its capital city, Dublin. The postal district is a number, or a number combined with a letter representing a compass direction. A typical Dublin address would be written: "Dublin 17" or as "Dublin 6W".

  8. they don't have one you post your letter to what ever town address and mark it ERA

  9. ireland doesn't have a postal code...however many people mistakenly use the name EIRE as a substitute when asked for a postal code....Dublin city is divided into 24 postal districts with districts with odd numbers north of the Liffey & even numbers south of the Liffey...

  10. n e 1 4 a b j i think

  11. The Republic of Ireland doesn't have postal codes outside of Dublin. Someone did say that Cork has postal codes, but I have never seen any.

Not only do rural areas not have postal codes, many places do not have house numbers on the streets. Surprisingly, this works in small communities, as everyone knows everyone else.

  12. They don't use postcodes in Ireland.

And even if they did there wouldn't be just 1 for the whole country as that would be pointless.

  13. Theres no postal codes in Ireland. If you are writing an address, you just need the town, county and the country(Eire).

But if you're writing to someone in Dublin, you need different numbers after Dublin for different areas(Dublin 1, Dublin 2 etc.)

    =]

  14. THere is only one county in Ireland (ignore the above). The 6 counties are in the  north of Ireland and they are part of the UK.

There are no postcodes in the south of the country.

    Its just

    Address1               Name of House

Address2               No. & street or just townland

County                    * Only Dublin is split into districts

    Ireland

2 examples  for the south :

    Sean Sweeney

    Wilkinstown

    Delvin

    Co. WestMeath

    or

    Mary Murphy

    105 Meadow Rd

    Churchtown

Dublin 14  (Dublin is split into districts - Dublin 1 is city centre)

There is a list of the dublin districts @ http://www.dublintourist.com/maps/dublin...

  15. According to the Yahoo.ie login site, we should all know our postcodes and enter it.  Sadly, there isn't any, so I've had to use a yahoo.com id.  Come on Yahoo, sort out your localisation!

  16. Dublin is the only place that as post codes. here you go.

In Ireland, only Dublin City has postal codes, and they are really postal districts. You will notice that all of Dublin City centre establishments are in "Dublin 1" or "Dublin 2", etc. Outside the city, it is simply County Dublin. The postal code system for Dublin is relatively simple. Odd numbers are addresses on the North side of the River Liffey. Even numbers are on the south side (except for parts of Dublin 8, which encompasses part of the Phoenix Park). Dublin 1 is the North City Centre. Dublin 2 is the South City Centre.

  17. Republic of ireland dont have a postcode system, But all of Northern Irelands Postcodes Begin With BT

  18. Which part of Ireland do you want it for? The code is 353 but the 2 numbers before it depends on the county.

  19. it doesn't have one unless you count the dublin postal areas like dublin 1, dublin 2 etc.

if you are trying to sign up for something online that requires a post code then you just put in five zeros (00000) and that tells them you dont have one.

  20. I dont think Ireland have postal codes at all

  21. Ireland has no postal code, if you are applying to something online or setting up an acc of some sort simply put in NA.
