Tyler is in his mom&#039;s van and is driving on a patch of ice. Bella is out of her truck looking at the tires or something I think, and then Tyler slides on the ice and nearly runs Bella over, but Edward gets over from the other end of the parking lot and saves her.

Sorry I can&#039;t give more detail, it&#039;s been a while since I last read the book. :)

Well the road was icy that morning and Bella was standing next to her truck when Tyler lost control of his van. Edward was standing next to his car and saw what was going to happen through Alice&#039;s vision. He forgot trying to act human and rushed to her side, throwing he to the ground, hitting her head, and stopping the van. When the van swerved and was going to crush Bella&#039;s legs he held it up and pushed it away from her. He then told her and everyone around that he was standing next to her the whole time and tried to rub out his hand impression on the van.
