now when u release it put more pressure on the middle finger its like the opposite on how you throw a curveball nd also santana has the best chageup in the game

Center your ring, middle and index fingers on top of the baseball, across the seams, like a four-seam fastball.

The thumb and pinky finger should be on the leather under the ball. If your hands are big enough, see if you can put your thumb and pinky finger together on the bottom of the ball – it could help your control and give you a better feel.

The ball should be held deep in the hand, with equal pressure on all fingers. Keep your wrist stiff and throw it straight down. Throw it just like a fastball, with the same arm speed and release point.

if you have any more pitchin questions, ive thrown 4 career no hitters, feel free to ask me :D

  3. The easiest way would be to add a finger to your fastball grip, so instead of your index and middle finger on the top of the ball, have your index, middle and ring fingers all on the ball. The added finger will cause more friction between the fingers and the ball, thusly slowing it down. Want to slow it down more, put it farther back in your hand. Good luck!
