I've been wondering what they would look like cause they're different species and all. I know they can't make babies 'The old fashion way', as my stupid friends call it, but I'm wondering if scientist could fertilize cats eggs with dog sperm or visa versa, well I know they can but what would they look like?? any help?

  1. Since their genes are not compatible, this is impossible.

  2. That doesn't work with cats and dogs.

  4. No it's not possible. I can't believe you actually think that.

  5. A cat's egg with a dog's sperm would not fertilize. It would just not work. No, never, nada. It wouldn't look like anything. Cats and dogs are two totally different species. It is impossible. It's not happening.

  6. I believe what you are thinking of would be called a Chimera. I know scientists are trying this with different species of mice, and can also make these with plants, but for most other kind of animals- it is currently not possible. Especially with ones as different as cats and dogs are (not even the same family).

It is much more complicated than fertilizing one animals egg with anothers sperm- that just dosn't work.

  7. the dna is too different even if artificially inseminated the sperm simply CANNOT fertilize the egg.
