you can apply on thw web site www.indianpassport.nic.in, but the problem is that even when u apply for passport on line, u have to take a printout of the application form ( duly filled in )paste the photos on the form and personally submit it it the passport office personally. so, u have two ways of doing it, download the passport application form , fill it up and to the Lucknow passport office situated at 10, ashok marg, lucknow,

One can apply for Passport through Online Registration, after doing online registration, get print outs of the application form.

For Online Registration, the applicant has to submit the print outs of the application form along with required documents to the respective passport office in the appointment date and time printed. Apart from this Passport Applications can be submitted at

An application for a passport may be submitted personally OR through a representative carrying an authority letter.

Fee is:

Fresh Passport (36 pages) of 10 years validity

(including minors between 15 to 18 years of age, who wish to get a  10 years full validity passport)

Fresh Passport for Minors (below 18 years of Age) of 5 years validity or till the minor attains the age of 18 which ever is earlier.
