Can some one tell me what's the best text book in pharmacology?

I am 3rd year undergraduate, I need it for the USMLE

  1. Hold on there my young gunner.  You're a 3rd year undergrad, do not get any books yet for an exam that you will need to take in 4 years.  

    One, the information will be out of date and you will need to buy new books so it will be a waste of money if you buy them now.  This is especially true in pharm, new drugs and regiments come out every year.  

    Second, the amount of material available is massive and is dependent on your learning style as a medical student.  You can make this assessment better as a M1 than you can now as an undergrad, believe me, it is not the same.  

    Lastly, there seems to be some major proposed changes to the USMLE where Step 1 and two will be combined and this, more likely than not, will affect you.  So buying books for the old system will be a waste of time.  

    All things will come, graduate first, get through first year and then worry about the boards.
