  1. 10 euro at 5/1 would get you 50 euro plus your 10 euro stakes back, if the horse is place e.g 2,3,4 (and in some races 5th) check carefully as different bookmakers have different rules, skybet and ladbrokes both pay 1/5 of the odds

  2. First of all - an each way bet is £10 on horse to win and another £10 on it to be placed 1,2,3 or 4 according to how many horses start the race. The placed bet is usually at a quarter of the odds.

If it wins you will get 10 x 5 + your stake of £10 =£60

Plus you also collect the 'each way' part of the bet

    So that is 10 x 1.25 (quarter of original odds) + your stake £10 = £22.50

So in total you will collect £82.50 being total profit £62.50

If your horse does not win but comes 2nd,3rd or 4th you only get the 'each way part of the bet so you will only collect £22.50 being total profit of £2.50

    hope that makes sense

  3. depends on how many runners in the race.

less than 8 runners only 1st and 2nd

    16 runners 1st 2nd 3rd 4th however if not a handicap only first 3 places.

then it depends on wether its a quarter the odds a place or a fith the odds a place.

10 euros each way at 5/1 = £50 for the win +£10.00 stake

    1/4 odds                      5/1=  ÃƒÂ‚£12.50 for the place +£10.00 stake

    therefore a win = £82.50 2,3,4, at 1/4 odds =£22.50

    a win at 1/5 the odds =£50.00 win+£10.00 stake

                                            ÃƒÂ‚£10.00 place +10.00 stake

therefore a win at 1/5 the odds =£80.00

                        place 2nd 3rd  at 1/5 the odds = £20.00

hope  this is ok for you to understand as ther are many categories in racingalso deductions can come into play ie you taken a price about a horse and before the race another strongly fancied horse has been withdrawn then a rule 4 comes into play ie deduct 10pence in pound to all bets

  4. €10 at 5/1

    (a) there are multiple answers depending on whether the race contains 5horses or less its  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚‚¬20 on the nose,5-7 horses 1st or 2nd  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚‚¬60+ €22.50, 7-11 horses returns  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚‚¬60 + 1/5 the odds which is even money  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚‚¬20,

then 12 or over is 1/4 odds  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚‚¬22.50.

    (b)  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚‚¬20 or €22.50  as in answer (a)

    (c) as above if more than 7 horses.

  5. the only one that i think i know is (a) if the horse wins you get €50 x

  6. 5/1 is only the win odds....you get 60  back for your 10 wagered to win.  The place and show wagers will depend on how much money has been bet on your horse, and the horses that finish in front of your horse. I have seen show wagers that payoff more than the win ticket for the winner (but that don't happen very often)

  7. Have never bet ever but I would think logically that the prize for second is a half and third place is a third? Just a guess.

  8. only know you get £50 + your £10 stake back. 2nd ...I think its quarter of the odds.
