  1. "I had a homework assignment that I tried to get people on Yahoo!Answers to do for me.  But then I realized that if I didn't do the assignment, I'd be missing the point of it: I wouldn't be gaining any of the knowledge or skills or experience that my teachers are trying to pass on to me.  So even though I was worried that I wouldn't be able to think of anything good, or that my speech would end up sounding lame or stupid, I took the risk and I did my assignment myself."

There needs to be a little bit more after that, but you can add the rest.  I hope.

  2. if you don't take the risk, you'll never know the outcome. if you never know the outcome you could miss out on something great. if you don't miss out on something great, you miss the opprotunity to learn from a mistake.

  3. The basic rule of life is that you cannot win if you do not play. In other words, you must take the risk, the first step if you want to be in the race. What race you ask, well whichever it is that beckons you.... whether you would like to be an athlete or an author, a physician or a great lover...you must start somewhere and take that first action that can lead you to success. Age is no impediment, the sooner you start , the more you have time to learn. Education and experience are the life skills you gain along the way. No one keeps score of how you are doing but you...and like the man says: you can't make the points if you don't take your shot.

  4. no deposit, no return. can't take out what you don't put in.

  5. "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." People everyday are faced with decisions. "Should they do this, or not?" The one thing that keeps people back is the negative affects in which the action goes wrong. People always know the possitive outcome, and it far exceeds the negative most of the time. If the particular sitiuation doesn't go as planned, it could mean rejection, loss, or pain. But what would happen if we all looked beyond the seemingly mundane losses and always went for "taking the shot." There's always a chance you won't get the job, or the part in the play, or the girlfriend you've always wanted, but you are not going to succeed at anything if there isn't affirmative action taken place. Taking 100% of your shots will always beat missing them.

Something like that. Whatever you can do with it. Make sure you read with some emotion, that way it'll go as slow as it's suppose to.
