Can some please tell me the average age of people participating on this site? (See follow up, I will explain)?

Question

This is entertaining, but I keep running across questions that seem like a younger person may be asking. It's not that I mind talking to younger people, but if this is a mostly teenagers site, I don't think some of my potential responses (though strictly in jest) would be appreciated. I am trying to censure myself, and target my audience.

i havnt been on here long either but i have found some vey expoicit questions from those saying they are 12 or 15.  I am 38.  I have been checking peoples profiles for some help.

I think any public place is going to have kids on it.  Nothing we (not being their parents) can do about it.

I also think it depends on the subject matter that you are answering.  if you don't feel compfy don;t answer.  

As for the average age...I hope someone can tell you that. I have been thinking the very same thing.

yes, i noticed that too. by the look at the question(s) and answer(s), most of them are below 19 i guess.

You are not supposed to post jests in answer to questions. read the guidelines. If you don't want to help people by giving real answers to their questions, then this site is not for you.

Yes, there are a lot of young people on this site, but there are a lot of us grown-ups too.

We have no more information about the age distribution on this site than you have. For most people, there's no indication of their age; people can lie; it would only be by going to the profile pages of the hundreds of millions of users, and seeing how many of them mention their age that anyone could come up with any information -- though it would be both incomplete and often false (not everyone gives an age; people lie).

You risk losing, not only your YA account, but your entire Yahoo account (including email) if you persist in violating the Guidelines for this site.

But i think that theres a large variety of people. And it depends which section - like singles and dating section probably has more teens and people in there 20 to early 30s.

So its hard to just pinpoint at a particular age group.

Well, first let me just say, there is people as young as 12/13, maybe younger, that come on here and ask and answer questions.  I personally am 23 and I can understand censoring answers for heed the younger crowd.  I will always be truthful though.  I think it is typically the younger crowd that is on here, but that doesn't mean there isn't people between 25-55 age range, maybe even older, cause I believe I've seen some one on here that was like 65 I think.  There is all kinds of people that use this site
