Can some please tell me which is a best choice Canon A590 or Nikon Coolpix L 18?

I just wanted something to take pics of the kids and family and whatever else...lol nothing professional. Anyway, I went shopping and my friend convinced me to get the Nikon Coolpix, now I can't find any reviews on it at all, and I see that the a590 and L 18 have the same specs....

I am just concerned a made a wrong choice, I upgraded from a Kodak and it didn't have the best picture quality at all.....

No one can tell you ... what we have to say is only our opinion and may have nothing to do with your shooting style or needs.

Just go into CC or BB and hold both cameras in your hands and see which works the best for you.

Take a SD or SDHC memory card with you and then take some shots ... take the card home and look at the results on your computers monitor.  Then you will know which you like the best.

i have a nikon and love ot. but i have worked in a camera shop and the cannons have an excellent lens on them. its your choice but both are really good cameras. you cant go wrong with either of them.

Well I think the cool pix would be better for younger children, Considering it takes fast pictures.

But Im not sure about the quality.
