One overlooked horror movie is Funny Games, I thought it was very artistic in a away.

Grindhouse was a masterpiece in its own right...very long though, i suggest watching it in parts (they sell them seperately)

Saw I is a great movie, 2,3 and 4 were ok, with 5 & 6 in the works. But the first one is simply excellence

Finally, the Hills Have Eyes 1 & 2, as well as Dawn of the Dead

Well, personally I'm not that fond of Jennifer Lopez as either an actor or singer, but that's just me.

Dracula--There is a Spanish Language version made in 1931. Excellent

John Carpenter's The Thing-- a masterpiece

Brotherhood of the Wolf--aside from the c**p CG, absolutely gorgeous .

I Walked With A Zombie

Cat People--the original.

Junk

Dog Soldiers--you cannot go wrong with a good, old fashioned kickass monster movie.

Ringu--the original ONLY.

The Red Shoes

Devil's Backbone--gorgeous and creepy.

The Orphanage--wonderful

Frailty--brilliant

Dagon--not for everyone

The Call of Cthulhu--if you can find it, a brilliantly done adaptation of Lovecraft's story.

Frontier[s]--excellent

Inside

The Hills have Eyes--the remake is actually quite good as well.

In the Mouth of Madness

The Cottage--quite funny too.

Mermaid in a Manhole--incredibly disgusting

Fair warning--I like these, but they definitely fall into the 'extreme' category

Feed--not what I was expecting, but worth a look.

Philosophy of a Knife--not strictly horror, and NOT for all tastes. parts of this make Hostel look like a Disney movie.

Flower of Flesh and Blood--not for the squeamish.

Devil's Experiment--ditto

Tetsuo the Iron Man--two men morph into clunky, phallic machines and try to kill and/or have s*x with each other, it's kind of hard to tell which.
