I am 17yrs and will be turnin 18 in october. i have a learners permit, and i just found out i couldnt get ma license because i didnt have ma permit for a year. i really need to drive cos i have to go to work and school. is there anyway i can drive without going to jail?

no, but you can buy a bus pass.  it's way cheaper than insurance at your age.

Sorry, you have no options but a bicycle or mass transit.  

If you had better information when you got the permit, you would be in a better situation now.

What about a motorcycle license?  Maybe a 50 cc or a scooter?

Try that option.

some states have provisional liscenses so you can drive to and from work only but not just drive around.  Check with you DMV they should be able to tell you.
