Can some1 teach me how to do squared root?

okay i am in algebra this year...and last year i was in pre-algebra. but i had a really dumb math teacher last year and she never taught us how to do squared root... someone plz teach me! pretty please.

  1. umm lets see.. the square root of 9 is 3 because 3x3= 9

    square root of 16 is 4 because 4x4= 16 , 5x5= 25 therefore its square root is 5

    sqr (X^2) = X^(2/2) = X

    If this went way over your head just forget I even wrote this.

  5. you can now used a scientific calculator but if you want to solved it manually try this one....

    example: √10

    solution: √10

                  = 10 raise 1/2

                  =  10/2

                  =   2
