I have a new Dell there's something majorly wrong with it. Whenever I turn it on, this immediately pops up:
"Settings.ini is being used by another process. Close the other program and then click Retry, or click Cancel to exit Sidebar."
Then it says:
"wercon.exe - Corrupt File The file or directory C:\users\"name"\AppData\Local\Microsoft is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility"
When you go to "users" it wont let you to go to "public" it says that it is not accessible...the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable.
I tried to run a system restore, but it says you have to run a scan on "C" first, which is in use and so I have scheduled it to do it on the next startup...then it never does it when I restart.
Next I took the Reinstallation CD and tried booting it up from the CD" I tried to do a system restore and a complete restore and each time it wouldn't allow me to because it said C is corrupted.
I have NO idea what to do now! I've tried everything and Can't get it to let me restore the computer HELP!!!!!!!!
