  1. YES SOMEBODY CAN CALL A PUBLIC PHONE AND ANYONE WALKING BY CAN ANSWER IT.

  2. Maybe.  They are not always equipped with ringers.  Occasionally I answer one, and help out the caller if I can.

  3. It won't work, I already tried it. There will be a recorded message saying that you are calling a public phone and you can't do that lol

  4. Yes.  You, if you're there.

  5. You can call any pay phone, the number is usually on the phone some where. But some of them you can not pick up. It will ring and ring, its great to do that late at night when drunk people are walking past and pick up the phone, yet it still keeps ringing!

  6. You can call a public payphone if the phone accepts incoming calls.  Some of them do not.  Usually, the person that answers is the one who is expecting a call.

  7. who knows try it!

  8. YES, GET THE NUMBER FOR IT

    AND ANYONE CAN ANSWER IT

  9. Long ago (like 20 years ago), you could.  That's where they get those movie scenes where the bad guy runs the good guy all over town and has him answering pay phones for instructions.  But with expanding area coverage, and toll charges for local calls, the phone companies stopped allowing incoming calls on payphones.  With determination, you might be able to find a payphone that you can call, but it's very unlikely anymore.  Actually, with nearly everyone having a cellphone, finding a payphone is almost a treasure hunt.

  10. Yes, and it will ring. But I think it also depends on the Phone.

  11. Yes and Anyone :)

  12. Yes, you can if you get the number. And anyone who walks by can answer.
