  1. "Letterkenny is the largest town in County Donegal. It is situated on a hillside overlooking the River Swilly. Letterkenny is an exciting town with some newly constructed shopping centres to complement the many traditional craft shops, restaurants and pubs. Letterkenny is home to An Grianán Theatre, cinema complexes and leisure centres. Donegal County Museum is also located in Letterkenny, housing a fascinating range of artifacts, covering all aspects of life in Donegal from the pre-historic period to the 20th century."


  2. Fastest growing town in Europe. Lots going on there. Close to Derry, close enough to Donegal and some of the most scenic parts of NW Ireland.

It's lovely.  It is the largest town in County Donegal (there is a lot of traffic here) and it is located on Lough Swilly.  Many people have coem here from other countries; nearly 20% of the population wuold be from abroad.  Main places of  in Letterkenny would be: Eircom, the hospitals, and the LIT (Letterkenny Inst of Technology).   Letterkenny is about 3 1/2 hours from Dublin via bus and about 30-45 minutes from Derry City.  Letterkenny is a great place to live....good luck!
