The stock market is where you buy a fractional share of a company that is "public". If the company does well, the share price goes up and you make money if the company doesn't do well, the share price goes down and your shares are worth less. But you don't really lose money unless you try to sell your shares when they are worth less than what you paid for them. That's why you need to invest in the markets for no less than 5 years.

While at MSN following the strategy lab analysts to get a feel for what the pros are doing and why.  This site has some basic information for beginners.

Hey Attitude try watching a television program called MadMoney.  It's by a fellow named Jim Cramer.  I think you'll like it.  You'll have to watch it while before you may catch on...
