It started off with a guy purposely getting put in prison to break out so that his brother that was on death row (who was framed) could escape. Then once they get out, it is not only staying on the loose and trying to get freedom they are trying to find out  who framed his brother and why, which turns into a whole conspiracy. First 2 seasons are unreal, 3rd season is ok

guy gets stitched up by a group of ppl in government (senate u get the idea) for a murder which he didn't do and the guy isn't even dead till half way through the sieries.

so the guy who gets stitched up goes to jail with a death sentance and his bro finds out hes innocent and gets blue prints of the jail and plans of how to bust out and what to do later all tattooed onto his body. and puts himself in same prison as his bro.

they manage to escape and get chased. thats the jist. its a lot complicated and is continuing. please to spend some time and watch it from the start seasons one and two and get up to date as it is so cool. one of the best things tv has broadcast. you'll be missing out if you don't watch it, compared to all other shows this is best makes the rest all boring and worthless.

just like missy says:- break out of prison, one man is wrongly accused , they plan a prison break loads of people get involved , put a few of them want to find the truth etc etc , they break out, on the run get caught by another prison in a different country escape, so now the new series i don't know but i guess they are in prison again and have to get out, so on and so on
