Can somebody explain to me what is the meaning of 'relative amount'?I'm quantitate protein. .

and 1 more thing, to get the amount of cell in OD by spectrophotometer,why we have to measure at their specific wavelength?let say mine is 600nm,but my friend measure at 400nm..can u explain to me?

  1. for this you hav 2 be familiar with the term FRAME OF REFERENCE


  2. specs have a certain area that they can read, by varying the wavelength one can be a more accurate reading, because saying the wavelength is 0 nm then the reading will be off the chart, therefore you need to move it up so that the reading is within the specs values of measure
