How do you change the size of that white box thing that appears around an object when it is selected?

I deleted part of an object, so the remaining object is smaller, but the box around it is still gigantic and it's annoying. I remember my teacher going over this so I know there is a way to resize it...I just can't remember how =|

  1. It sounds wrong, Max calculates the bounding box according to the current object in its original transform. Are you sure you don't have any stray edges or vertexes?

Anyway, you can reset the transform of an object using the "Reset XForm" of an object. This will keep the object in the current transform, but reset its transform attributes (i.e. scale and rotation) to the default values. The side-effect is that the bounding box will be recalculated according to the new transform.
