Can somebody give a brief description of what exactly a 'baking curve' is? thank you?

a baking curve is a plot of temperature versus time for the anode temperature and flue gas. It gives a good prediction of the baking process. Preheating, fire and cooling. It also gives the anode and flue gas temperatures in the three zones mentioned.
