try Picasa by Google

Google has a free downloadable photo viewer and photo editor called picasa or picassa (i cant recall, as I usually use Roxio pro).  I needed a viewer that would read and adobe graphics  a .pd-something or other, and the software I use was able to convert it to a JPEG format for me. so it is a stand alone program for use off line and it dose a good job at organizing you files and is easy navagate.
