Can somebody give me some info on guppies?

Question

I have a 25 gallon tank and i have 4 zebra danios, 2 glofish, and 1 long fin danio. I was thinking about getting some more fish including guppies. But one of my freinds said that guppies die very easily. Is that true? And if you can please post some links that show you the mateniece of guppies. Thanks For Your Help!!

in my expierience guppies dont die easy enough... we started with about 5 guppies in a 10 gallon tank and now we have both those same 5 fish plus alll there babies in a 20 gallon tank a total of about 100-140 fish... they are VERY hardy fish

Guppies are pretty hardy fish and not hard to care for at all.  They might not go well with your danios though.  Sometimes danios can be fin nippers.  Definitely check out the forums at www.guppies.com.  Everything you want to know about guppies can be found there!

I have had my guppies for 2 years and they are still alive and in as great condition as they were when i got them, they are a very hardy fish. They have had fungal diseases and i have cured them  a couple times. the maintenance of guppies is pretty simple, feed around twice a day and they will be happier then ever. they like a planted tank and i have also noticed with my guppies they really like the air block in there set on high because they will swim back and forth through it for hours, its kinda funny.

Guppies are very hardy fish, great personalities, easy to raise and breed. Danios could be aggressive with them.

I personally have had bad luck. I have bought guppies twice and both times they died. Could have been the fish store too though.

I just got one last night AGAIN to try it. We shall see!

Hahah! Guppies are crazy easy to take care of! My uncle has a 10 gallon guppy tank and started out with 10 and in a year had 46 all together. I had a 1/2 gallon small guppy tank with only two, a male and a female. They were really healthy until I put a snail in it and had babies and ate my guppies alive. Sad.

guppies don;t die easy but zebra danios are known to kill guppies,  my friend had guppies and zebra danios and they killed some of her guppies

Guppies are very hardy and not easy to kill.  They are livebearers though, and have 20-30 fry every month.  They don't care for their young, so most may not survive, but if you have a well planted tank, many will which may lead to overcrowding.  Some stores will take them off your hands, and might even give you a store credit.

well guppies only die fast if there in cold water.the have alot of babies.the male is the pretty one and the female only got color on its tale.             if you want less babies get platies the have there babies alive.they look like mollies.                                if you need more info email me at [e-mail]                      im raising some guppies and platies right now.      the platies already had like 5 babies but 3 died.so         email me if you need more advice
