2: John uses exactly eight 1- inch cubes to form a rectangular prism.Find the Lenght,width,and height of the prism?

It would help if you could draw it out, or visualise it in your mind.

1. if we take two rows of 10  1 inch cubes and stick them together, you can put them side by side, giving you dimensions of 10, 2, 1. Alternately, you can take 4 rows of 5 1 inch cubes and put them all side by side, giving you a rectangular prism with dimensions 5, 4, 1.

2. in this case, there is only one possible way the cubes can fit together and make a rectangular prism. The dimensions are 4,2,1.
