I have been under a lot of stress lately with a new boyfriend and I have six nieces/nephews and I often babysit more than one at a time. And recently I've got the feeling like I want to punch something. I tried tea and deep breathing. Anybody have some easy and possibly free ways to relieve stress? Also, I don't have much time to do anything like yoga... or space for that matter.

  1. Take deep breaths it helps also to do some excercise. Even if you try jumping up and down for a few jumps it helps it really helps that's why you are stressed because you are not finding time.

  2. Anger is a primordial sentiment. That is because of all the emotions that may have evolved with man, anger is

    definitely one of the first.

If you take into consideration the mammalian stock, you’d see that anger is one common manifest all animals

including humans share. Among other basal sentiment are joy (in a limited sense) and fear.

  3. try painting. a lot of people find it releases stress, even if you feel like you aren't an artist.

another thing to think about would be to take on less responsibility. if it's too much to handle now, and you feel like you can't cope, chances are down the road that it'll only feel worse, and you will explode (metaphorically). you have to consider yourself and your mental health first and foremost.

but, if you still insist on leading the busy lifestyle, try, at least once a week, to make time for yourself to do what really makes you happy. whether it's curling up with a good movie or book, or taking a bubble bath, or going out for time with a close friend or two. sometimes you've just got to give yourself some slack. and, when you get caught in the moment and feel like you need a quick fix of relief, close your eyes, breathe deep, let your muscles relax and visualize yourself in what you'd consider to be total happiness or peacefulness.
