  1. The link below should help with California homeschool regulations and maybe guide you to a support group.

    http://californiahomeschool.net/default....

I also recommend you read "The Teenage Liberation Handbook" by Grace Llewelyn.

Best of luck to you :D

  2. It is legal in all 50 states, and in most of them you don't have to have the state's permission. (In a couple, you do.)  You do, however, have to have your parents on board.  Even if you enroll in an online school, they are ultimately responsible for your education.

Can you tell us what state you live in?  Each state has different laws and regulations, and different things to offer.

Also, are you only looking to do it for a few weeks (till the end of the semester), or long term (a year or more)?  When you unenroll from public school, homeschool, and then try to get back in (at least in high school), some schools will make you retake the credits - they won't accept your homeschool credits.  Before you start homeschooling, you need to know your options and what you're looking to do.

Can you give us a little more info (what state you're in, what grade you're in, how long you'd like to homeschool for, whether you'd like to do an online school or use a textbook or literature approach) and we can give you better advice and details?  These are things that we need to know before we can really help you.

    Thanks!

  3. It sounds like you want homeBOUND education, where a teacher from your school comes to your house to tutor you and give you work to do.

This is typically only for students with medical, or behavioral problems.

Talk to your parents, and if they've had any conversation with your school about the problems you are facing, perhaps they will let you do it - but it's a long shot.

If you want to do homeschooling for the rest of the year, you're going to have to follow your state's laws, and get your parents on board to help you get started.

  4. It is on the state education website.
