Can somebody help me with this writing prompt?

Question

"List some ideas for a story to explain the creation or origin of some natural object, animal, or phenomenon."

He gave us an example: HOW THE EARTH WAS MADE. And the story has to be made up.

We cant use this example though, so I was wondering if I could get some ideas of what to write about? Best answer gets 10 Points.

Do something simple and easy to write about.

    ex: why the grass is green

          why the sky is blue

          why the ocean is so deep

          why the earth is round

Its just like the questions you asked in kindergarten!!!

what clouds are... you could say that they are marshmallows!

you could write about the beginning of time. You could write how they invented words. Anything that you can think up. Have fun with this one!

How animals came about.

for the one above you could do any animal individually.

How the turtles shell is cracked.

How people came on this planet.

why there are plants.

why there is water.

why there are continents.

etc...

I did a story exactly like this in eighth grade. I wrote a stupid made up story about how moutains formed. You could write how the ocean formed also.
