  1. Hi. I have just been looking at the manual for the Sony system. I can't see any problems setting up your telly and DVD to the Sony system? First, I would connect your DVD player, using the coaxial cable (a phono cable would do, for a quick fix. Red or white). If you have Sky box, with a optical out put? (Fibre optical cable) You can connect your sky box, to one of the inputs on your Sony system. As for your telly? I would use two phono cables from your VHS video player, and connect to the Sony system for a better sound? Using the digital out put from your sky, would be better? To position your speakers, place the centre speaker above or below your telly screen. Place the two main speakers either side your telly, just in line with your head height sitting down. Then with the rear speakers, do the same the main speakers, try and place the speakers either side where you sit, then move them back about a foot or so. With the sub woofer, try and place it, not to near walls, it may boom a little. You have no need to place it, with the speaker facing you, the sub woofer just produces low effects of bass. Happy listening!

  2. They should be compatible. What do you have the problem with?  What are the symptoms?
