The doll has dark blonde hair, blue eyes, 3 1/2 inches tall, small terra-cotta painted shoes, dark blonde painted hair, entirely porcelain, pink sprayed cheeks & pink lips, and it has the word "Germany" on its back [not the back of its head] and has the number "13/4" on its back as well. It has no original clothing. Can someone tell me who made this doll, when it was made, and its face value today. Any answers would be appreciated. Thank you!

  1. Go to a Library. They have books on antiques. I'm sure they have one on dolls.  Sounds like u got a winner. You might even go to an antique dealer that specializes in dolls  Good Luck.

  2. IM SORRY BUT IM NOT GOING TO S3@RCH FOR @LL OF TH@T...............GOOD LUCK THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!

  3. In the doll world we all this an all bisque German doll, They were sold  with candy and some times very cheap. It sounds like the dolls color is fired on and will not wash off. As the ones made in Japan  amd marked Japan the color would wash off. The japanese all bisque were made start WWI were made about 1915 on.

But the German dolls are much more valuable and the French all bisque even more so pricey. Most German all bisques range from 20 to 250.00 and up  sleep eyes are more valuable and wigs. The ones with small wings are call Cupies.

So the correct description is molded hair painted eyes marked Germany all bisque doll made about 1900 to 1918. So there were several factories this doll would have been made at since the the factory did not mark them but there has been lots of research in the past few years were the molds have been discovered and we are able to id the factories.

So now go to ebay and do your research to see if you can id the factory, hope this gives you a start.
