Can somebody please recommend a good 2.1 active speakers for listening to violin music?

  1. Is this for computer?  Or home stereo?

    If you listen mostly to violin - you do not really need .1 (sub).  But the midrange should be very good.  Try Audioengine (from $200), Studio-Quality Triode-Tube iPod Speakers (about $4,000), Bluebird Music Fatman iTube Valve Dock and Amp for iPod and any good speaker ($1000).


  2. I have heard them only once briefly, but was thinking of getting some myself, but for a good active speaker with excellent midrange, you may want to look at the Quad 12L active speaker.
