Can somebody tell me a 5 sentence long current event?

The upcoming Presidential election is an important current event.  Before the election, both candidates will make wonderful promises and sling lots of mud at the other.  The election will be won by either by a Republican or a Democrat.  Whoever wins will be inagurated on a cold day in January.  After that, it's politics as usual, so it doesn't really matter squat who wins.
