  1. Well, Public School  doesn't really prepare you for the real world. You are controlled when, whom, and where, and what to learn all the time and with the same age group of pears. Socialized in Darwinism and other views.  Will you be able to make change at a register when needed?  Write a check and keep the book ballanced?  Understand credit and credit scores and fico scores? Construct Power of Attorney, or write a Will? Open a business and be knowledge to run it?  The public school system only wants to created more workers and not business owners.  Public school is fine for a lab rat but if you want to be an indepentant thinker like our Founding Fathers of our nation, that established our 4 freedoms, well they where mostly home schooled, self taught, and lead by the love of learning, not must learn to pass the test.  They read for pleasure, not for an assignment or report.  Albert Enstine once said he never memorized anything he could easly look up. Now for the Private Schools.  They use the method of more, do more, study more, work more, pay more and more to them, so they can build a bigger school.  My advise is to study what you are interested in and do it with all your might.  Take classes in it alone.  Don't waist time and money and the rest of all the other information you will never use.  Work at it.  There is something you love to do.  Do it with all your heart.  That is your gift.  Charge money for it.  Get help to advertise on the internet.  Get business cards.  Be the best at what you want to do.  The best education you can give yourself is to perfect what you already have, the gift.  Tell your school that you are going to sign up for classes at a private school, do so and take only one class....once signed up there, the public school is not going to be conserned anymore with you and you are released for ever from their prison. Take some classes on basics anywhere or on CD's on your computer at home. So you know, In Texas back in the 1980's the homeschool movement started.  Texas Home School Legal Association is on the web too.  Check it out.  Also see, Everything Homeschooling.com  Let me ask you, do you think anyone will ever ask you what the capital of Poland is?  What is the time difference in China in two hours from now?  What your test scores were in Biology in High School?  The real world doesn't care about that. When you interview for a job, they want to know how they can use you and make them money. But what about you.  Unless you plan to be a doctor, lawyer, dentist, Vet, then I might think about getting Home School Diploma or GED, and attending a good College for four years and go to Med school.  But, you can always attend a class or two at a Jr. College like TCC. Take it slow and easy till you decide what you want to do.  Tip: Remember college counselors are paid to sign up more classes for new students than needed. So, don't be talked into a 2 yr. degree unless it is all you plan to do, because all those extra classes won't transfer to a 4 yr university.   Hope that helps.  Lol, Sparrow

  2. honestly it depends on the type of person you are.

ive been to both public and private schools.

although the private school i went there were only 60 kids and we didnt have to wear uniforms.

at first i loved it. i got more of a one on one attention with the teachers. they are more willing to help you (because their getting paid more no matter what kind of private shool) so if you have trouble in school and tend to get lost easily this is perfect!

but however, i got tired of it after about 3 years and went back to public. there was a lot of drama at the private school that was so stupid and would never even be thought of at public school.

but then again that was just me.

it all depends on what kind of person you are, and the school you are attending. all schools are different!

    hope i helped! =]

  3. You should visit different schools in the area.  There's a wide difference in schools-- there's no such thing as a typical public or private school. Look at different option such as charter schools, schools for the arts, Catholic schools, etc.  Look at what you want most from a school (do you have a specific talent like art or music you'd like to pursue?), look at the academics offered (for example, if you think you'll need to learn to speak Spanish in the future, don't enroll in a school that only offers Latin).   If you enroll at a school that meets your interests and goals, it will be much easier to make friends and meet people with common interests.

  4. Both private and public school systems of the the same educatio. However today it seems that you would get a better education at a private school. The classes at the private school tend to be academic programs. The first year at a private school  classes are Algebra 1, Latin 1, natural science, theology and English. You can't take electives until your senior year. If you do not meet the school expectations in behavior you will be told to leave the school. These school have a waiting list of students who are trying to enter the school. The tution is high at some of these school but payment plans are made at some of these schools. You will be expected to pay for the books. You would be expectfed to wear a dress shirt, tie and casual trousers. The best of luck to you.
