Can somebody who's good with photoshop help me?

I want that thing to not have the fringe on it. i tried to do it myself, but just made a mess of the pictuer

Honey, I've been using Photoshop for ten years and I think I can safely say that no-one can remove someone's fringe in a flattened jpeg.
