  1. Make sure that the files you import into Windows Movie Maker has the following file name extensions: for video files: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv. Now, for Windows Media Player, by default include a number of the most popular codecs, such as Windows Media Audio, Windows Media Video, and MP3. If the codecs of your file is not supported by Windows or the Player by default and because the player is extensible, in many cases you can download the necessary codec from the Web for free or for a fee. Some codecs are available for download from the WMPlugins.com Codec Web page.

  2. instead of just saving the vid like clicking 'Save As', save it to your computer.  Its one of the buttons on the left

  3. When your on the Programe you should see the White Space, so what ever you put in the vidio it HAS TO BE IN THE WHITE GAP!

    ok hope i helpd

  4. download a codec pack from download.com

  5. Movie Maker accepts WMV format, so you could convert your video to WMV files firstly. So, you need a video Converter software. I have been using movavi video converter which worked well for me, more important is the video converter also can convert dvd files to other video formats, so i can edit my dvd movies, you can free try it at http://www.topsevenreviews.com/movavi-vi...

    best of luck!

  6. Divx Codec,for free too. :-)

  7. I'm guessing you went to File> Save as... DON'T DO THAT! You will only get a MSWMM file, which isn't a movie file, but the WMM Project file.

Instead, go to the task bar on the left and under the heading Finish Movie, choose save to computer. From there just choose whatever format you need. It's a WMP format now so it should play fine

    Hope that helps.
